We encourage you to contact us prior to the Public Hearing if you have any <br /> questions. <br /> Meeting Time and Date <br /> This matter will be heard on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. by the Planning Commission in the <br /> Fullerton City Council Chamber, 303 W. Commonwealth Avenue, Fullerton, CA 92832. <br /> What Is the Proposed Project? <br /> As a result of the approval of Proposition 64—The Adult Use of Marijuana Act (AUMA) in November 2016, the City <br /> of Fullerton is proposing to amend applicable sections of the Fullerton Municipal Code to maintain its prohibition of <br /> cannabis related uses Citywide. The proposed Municipal Code Amendment will address medical and recreational <br /> cannabis related uses in a manner that is consistent with the City's current policies and codes and will continue to <br /> protect local control over cannabis related regulations in the future. <br /> Planning Commission approval of a Resolution of Intention provides authorization to the Community Development <br /> Department to prepare Municipal Code Amendments regarding cannabis related uses. This action authorizes the Community Development <br /> Department to prepare Municipal Code amendments. Separately noticed public hearings with the Planning <br /> Commission and the City Council are required prior to the amendments becoming effective.
